The IV European Conference of the Labour Market Observatory will meet this year in Bilbao, 10 and 11 October.

Organised by Prokpektiker in collaboration with Bizkaia Talent, the University of the Basque Country and Lanbide.

Well-known representatives from institutions in the European field, such as CEDEFOP, OECD, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission, as well as in the political, technical and scientific fields in different European regions, will participate in Bilbao on 10th and 11th October as speakers at the IV European Conference of the Labour Market Observatory organised by Prospekitker, company in the LKS Group, in cooperation with Bizkaia Talent, Lanbide - Basque Employment Service - and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
 

The day will focus on the activities of some key agents in generating knowledge about the labour market, namely public employment service observatories, universities and other local and regional organisations associated with economic promotion and employment generation.
 

Among the participants at this conference will be Ronald McQuaid, from  University of Stirling, United Kingdom; Robert Strauss, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission (Belgium); Cristina Martínez-Fernández, from the Programme LEED of the OECD (France) Christa Schweng, LMO, CESE (Belgium); Konstantinos Pouliakas, Cedefop (Greece);  Jonathan Barr and Michela Meghnagi, OECD (LEED) (France); Gelu Calacean, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission; Christa Larsen, IWAK, Goethe University of Frankfurt (Germany) and Hilary Stevens, Marchmont Observatory of the University of Exeter (United Kingdom).
