LKS has designed The Bridge Port Logistics Platform in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia)

LKS was awarded the final design of the first phase of the logistics platform called BRIDGE PORT, located in the emblematic city of Cartagena, Colombia, at the north of the country on the Caribbean coast. This is a private project promoted by the firm INDUINT.

BRIDGE PORT was conceived as an approximately 32 ha Logistic area formed by various services related to the freight transport logistic chain: truck center, container yard, low cost hotel, commercial center, offices building, showroom warehouses, modular industrial or logistics units, service station for light and heavy vehicles, and leisure areas, among others. The design of the entire platform, both for urban development and for the buildings, will be developed under sustainability criteria and will be LEED certified (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design).

At this first stage, LKS has carried out the site development design, the complementary studies to the development design and the architectural design of the standard warehouse, the container yard, the truck center and the service station for light and heavy vehicles.

Cartagena is one of the strategic points for freight distribution and supply of Colombia. The Cartagena Port Society (14km away from Bridge Port), Contecar (11 km away) and Compas (12.6 km away) are also located there and together, they have connections with over 430 ports in 114 countries. It is the port area with the highest container movement of Colombia and the sixth in Latin America and the Caribbean, having a volume of 1,581,401 TEU per year.
