LKS and CAD sign an agreement with The South American Development Bank – CAF

On  February 28th, LKS and CAD, LKS´s strategic partner in the platform that promotes human development and the transition to sustainable development, signed an agreement with the South American development bank – CAF
to promote a green economy and form strategic alliances in order to achieve a higher impact in the regions development.

The scope of the agreement includes strategic consultant services in project planning, management, realisation and communication giving threefold solutions (environmental, social and economic) in several areas, contributing to the sustainable development of the countries in the region.  This agreement also includes running training programs to members of CAF who are need of training and the development of project management tools. The next project within this agreement, will consist in advising the Environmental Department on the search for new non traditional funds linked to climate change mitigation and adaptation.

CAF, acronym of the “Corporación Andina de Fomento” is a development bank founded in 1970 and was formed by 18 countries from  South America, the Caribbean, and Europe (Portugal and Spain), as well as 14 private banks of the region.  The institution promotes a sustainable development system, through credit operations, non refundable resources, and support in the technical and financial structuring of projects in the public and private sectors in Latin America.  With headquarters in Caracas (Venezuela), CAF also has offices in Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

CAF has a non countercyclical and catalytic role, and has become the main funding resource of infrastructure projects in South America and an important source of knowledge for the region.
